Badia di Pomaio

The Badia di Pomaio is a restored 17th-century with a hillside location, 5 km from Arezzo. There is an outdoor pool and the restaurant serves traditional Tuscan specialities.

Rooms at the Badia di Pomaio are individually decorated in a country style and feature wood beams, antique furniture and stone walls.

Meals are served in the Pomaio's 2 dining rooms- one with a cosy fireplace and the other in a natural cave with a vaulted ceiling. The hotel also organises courses in typical Italian cookery.

Guests can relax out in the garden and enjoy the views over the Tuscan hills towards Arezzo.

Travel information

By Car:
From the A1 Milano–Roma motorway:
- Head towards Arezzo. Hotel Badia di Pomaio is 19 km from the Arezzo toll-booth.
- Follow the signs for Arezzo (connecting- road) for approximately 8 km until you reach the traffic lights at the end of the connecting- road.
- Go past the underpass and keep to the left, following the signs for Bibbiena- SS 71 (Ipercoop).
- Continue straight on past the mall and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout.
- At the nest roundabout, turn right at the first exit and continue until you reach the traffic lights, where you should turn left.
- Go straight on, passing under the arches of the ancient Romanesque aqueduct and past the Modern Cemetery.
- When you reach the crossroads, you should turn left. At the traffic-lights, turn left again and continue until you see the signs for Pomaio-Poti-Mulinelli (Badia di Pomaio) on the left-hand side of the road.
- Drive up an asphalt road for approximately 4 km, following the signs for Badia di Pomaio.
- The whole route is through woods.
